		<description><![CDATA[Bukit Jalil is a suburb about 20km south of Kuala Lumpur. It was previously known as the Bkt Jalil Estate until 1992, when it was developed into the National Sports Complex. Attractions The major attraction is the National Sports Complex. The National Sports Complex was the venue for the historic XVI Commonwealth Games held in Kuala Lumpur in 1998. Within the sports complex&#8217;s premises are five stadiums, namely the National Stadium, National Aquatic Centre, National Squash Centre, National Hockey Stadium amd the Putra Indoor Stadium. There is also a Family Park and International Garden. The National Stadium spans a whopping twenty-six thousand square feet and is the biggest in Malaysia. Its seating capacity easily reaches one hundred thousand spectators at any one time. The stadium arena is utilized by events companies; a wide range of events are hosted here and these include corporate events, international concerts, Family Day weekend activities and sporting events too. The National Aquatic Centre was constructed under the stringent adherence to the guidelines of the International Swimming Federation and boasts a 10-lane Olympic-size pool and other high-tech features.
