Do you know that Chinese dragons are legendary creatures in Chinese mythology and folklore? In Chinese art, dragons are usually portrayed as long, scaled, serpentine creatures with four legs. European dragons are always considered evil but Chinese dragons traditionally symbolize potent and auspicious powers, particularly control over water, rainfall, and floods. This eye candy is one of the golden dragon statue that you can find on top of the Chinese Arches in front of Petaling Street Kuala Lumpur. If you want to find something interesting in the city… just look for it and it will be there for you to ponder.

I’m starting eye candies on some famous Kuala Lumpur’s streets. Let’s start with the well-known Petaling Street! Petaling Street or known as Chinatown among tourists is the centre of Kuala Lumpur’s original Chinatown. The locals also call it as PS – a short form for Petaling Street. Petaling Street has actually been given a facelift. It is now sheltered, with two large Chinese arches placed at both ends of the street to welcome you.

The eye candy this time is some pretty pink bougainvillea or known as ‘bunga kertas’ in Malay. Bougainvillea are rapid growing and flower all year in warm climates, especially when pinched or pruned. They grow best in moist fertile soil. Bloom cycles are typically four to six weeks. Bougainvillea grow best in very bright full sun and with frequent fertilization, but the plant requires little water to flower. My late grandmothers loved this flower so much that she planted each of every color! The ‘bunga kertas’ in below picture was planted on the cross over bridge where the two muddy rivers met in the city of Kuala Lumpur. You can barely see the two rivers because I wanted to focus on the pretty bougainvillea. I’ll show you the rivers in another eye candy

From hand-picked wild daisies to those you’d find in a wedding bouquet, daisies are the perfect complement to any event. Daisy flower pictures remind us of the innocence that daisies represent.
Have you visited the Petronas Twin Towers? They were once the world’s tallest buildings from 1998 to 2004. The 88-floor building were constructed largely of reinforced concrete, with a steel and glass facade designed to resemble motifs found in Islamic art. Because of the depth of the bedrock, the buildings were built on the world’s deepest foundations. Oh.. if you admire watching the Petronas Twin Towers as a whole from far… then you should be amazed looking at it from below. Enjoy this eye candy in antique mode.
