		<description><![CDATA[The National Sports Complex in Bukit Jalil was the venue for the historic XVI Commonwealth Games held in Kuala Lumpur in 1998. There are five stadiums within its premised &#8212; the National Stadium, National Aquatic Centre, National Squash Centre, National Hockey Stadium amd the Putra Indoor Stadium. You can also find the Family Park and International Garden. The National Sports Complex was built at a cost of RM800mil with the majority of the attractions centred on the state-of-the-art National Stadium. This world-class stadium was built with modern track and field amenities and can accommodate a maximum of 100,000 spectators. The National Aquatic Centre was constructed under the stringent adherence to the guidelines of the International Swimming Federation and boasts a 10-lane Olympic-size pool and other high-tech features. The National Squash Centre has a built-up area of over 7,000sq m and is acclaimed as the country&#8217;s largest and best-equipped squash facility. There are 10 courts in all and the arena seats 1,000. There are two stadiums within the National Hockey Stadium with the former having a capacity of 12,000 spectators and the latter, 2,000.
